Description

Doseongdo, which literally means “Painting of Capital City”, is a historical map where you can see all the main four palaces at once – Gyeongbok Palace (Gyeongbokgung), Changdeok Palace (Changdeokgung), Changgyeong Palace (Changgyeonggung), and Deoksu Palace (Deoksugung). Taejo of Joseon, who founded the Joseon Dynasty, designated Hanyang as the capital in 1394 based on the principals of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements as well as fengshui. Throughout the 500 years of Joseon history, palaces within the capital disappeared and were rebuilt. This poster allows Asian history lovers to travel back to the Joseon Dynasty era.

Great unique gift for any Asian history or museum merchandise lover.
