Description

Our Young Modeler kits are the passion-inspired results of Mr Yeongjong PARK who after almost 20 years of working as a salaryman decided to turn his hobby of making wooden models into a career. The award-winning brand creates hundreds of different kits suitable for both young children and adults.

The young planet series is a range of simpler kits requiring short assemblage time more suitable for young children.

This is a product that requires assembly and not a finished product. Painted version is simply to show what the model can look like when painted. (Paint not included.)

The Battle of Hansando (Hansan Island) and following engagement at Angolpo took place from 14 to 15 August 1592. In two naval encounters, Korean Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s fleet managed to destroy roughly 100 Japanese ships and halted Japanese naval operations along the southern coast. The Battle of Hansando was triggered by outstanding command and strategy of Yi sun-shin, astonishing spirit and efforts of the Joseon naval force under his command, excellence of the turtle ship and panokseon, and the capability of the large-sized guns. In particular, the Hakik-jin formation was very similar to the formation used in the Battle of Trafalgar by Napoleon of France in later time and the strategy of Admiral Dogo Heihachiro of Japan when he destroyed the Baltic Fleet of Russia in the Korea Strait. A western war historian, G.A. Ballard, had the extreme praise that the strategy utilized by Yi sun-shin was available only for the highly trained fleet with the surprising mobility of the time.
