Description

Beautiful bamboo-ribbed fan designed in the motif of “Irworobongdo” (Painting of the Sun, the Moon, and the Five Peaks”). Fan holder not included.

Great gift for any Asian culture or museum merchandise fan.

Irworobongdo is a Korean folding screen with a highly stylized landscape painting of the sun, the moon, and five peaks. It was always behind the Eojwa, the king’s royal throne, during the Joseon Dynasty. It literally means “Painting of the Sun, the Moon and the Five Peaks” and is also called “Irwoldo” or “Irwolgonryundo”.
